The packshot's completely in your face. - Image 1Time for the buzzer-beater shot. EA Sports/Electronic Arts is shipping the Xbox 360 version of NBA Street Homecourt to stores as of today. Emphasis on buzzer-beater: getting the game to stores NOW has the company boasting of having the first 1080p visuals (albeit 30fps) in a 360 game.

(The footnotes also say that the game will run at 60fps if you set the visuals to 720p or lower. See, it is good to always read footnotes, endnotes, and liner notes.)

Other than that, the game features Trick Remixer that they say should redefine the term "shake 'n' bake," over-the-top 3-on-3 streetball, and six WNBA stars ready to stand toe-to-toe with the boys. Because girls can play this game, too. They get into the rush and into the game (sometimes in your face); why can't they play the game on street terms, too?

In that case, the next Street better mix in more of the WNBA roster. Or this one can feature some useful downloadables. The PS3 version will hit the streets March 6; Europe gets to mix their tricks starting March 23.
