Activision to release Call of Duty 4: Game of the Year Edition for Xbox 360 - Image 1

Coming this April, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Game of the Year Edition is to be Activision's third SKU for Infinity Ward's modern warfare shooter. The new package is reportedly coming dabbed with numerous awards the title has won, though any other additional content was sorely lacking.

Instead, reports say that the game will provide a special token to players who pick up the GotY Edition. The token is linked directly to a new map pack currently in the works. The as-yet-unnamed map pack will cost 800 Microsoft Points. Unfortunately, the token is only for Microsoft's Xbox Live, and thus CoD4 GotY Edition is an Xbox 360 exclusive.

Those who've spent a little more just to grab the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Limited Collector's Edition is likely to still be satisfied with their selection, however, as content in that SKU still seems to be exclusive only to that package. But we'll update you once more developments and details prove that notion wrong.
