It's been "indicated" to Kaufman Bros. Equity Research analyst Todd Mitchell that there will be two more GTA IV DLC episodes that are coming out next year, so he said to GamesIndustry. The platforms aren't exactly sure yet, but it's possible that it might come out for both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.

"I would expect there would be two more pieces of downloadable content for GTA IV (Xbox 360, PS3), that's what  has been indicated to me, although formats are unsure," he said. "It's been indicated to me that would be the case."

Apart from that, he is also of the belief that a Part 5 will be coming to join the franchise sometime in the 2011 fiscal year, as well as a possible new GTA title for the PS2 as early as next year.

Coming out of E3 there was no commitment to a new Grand Theft Auto, and I think that's because of Rockstar's track record with delivering on time. Of the three, I'm least confident in saying for sure that there will be a new GTA for PlayStation 2, but the track record shows that the PSP titles have been repositioned [on PS2].

But then again, Mitchell is also of the opinion that even without a new GTA title, Rockstar is already in good enough standing to be all set for the fiscal year of 2010.

What we're saying is Take-Two is now becoming a proper company rather a one hit wonder. After GTA V in 2011, they can come back with more franchises and not be forced to rely on that every year.

Now that this shoe has dropped, and a case can be made for solid profitability in fiscal 2010 without GTA V, and the follow-on higher earnings in fiscal 2011 with a GTA V release, we believe the investment case for Take-Two has improved and investors can begin to get more constructive with the name.

It's about time that San Andreas Stories game is announced

 » .

you're all wrong GTA V is going to be set in SPACE!

not only that, all the characters in it will be midgets!

i would buy that, i mean why haven't they included midgets in any GTA yet? As a midget fan, i am greatly offended.

I don't think rockstar or the housers has any intention to go back to SA. I mean if they want to release San Andreas on the Playstation Network when they get the BC software emulator working that's great. But other than that, no SAS :P

 » My Predictions...

I predict:

-The PS2 GTA could be San Andreas Stories, since the massive San Andreas map could not fit on a PSP UMD.

-GTA V could take place in a much larger San Andreas just like GTA IV took place in a larger Liberty City.

-The mysterious placeholder title for a DLC "Blood and a Four-Leaf Clover" could actually be the title of the 3rd GTA IV DLC. The DLC could be about Packie McReary and the Irish mob.

 » Or Maybe...

The PSP port of GTA Chinatown Wars could have similar graphics to LCS and VCS and may also be ported to PS2 later after the PSP release.

» so what your saying is?

GTA V is gonna be based on LA and Nevada again? btw I agree with psp prediction they even unofficially announced chinatown wars to come to psp before.

San Andreas could be for PSP...the whole map...remember the PSP plays games in the memory stick? they can have more liberty to do it in that format than UMD

 » TO!

That's actually pretty funny, but most people won't get it! I live near the GTA area here in Toronto (yes, that's what it's called) and I would stay away from Jane and Finch. Toronto would be pretty cool, you can shout people on Bay street and then head up north to shoot beavers and moose! How about a Tim Horton drive by? Hey?!

2 more DLC episodes? Is that including Gay Tony or not? If not, that's $80 for DLC eps if they're all $20, more than the original price of the game...

 » Yeah..

GTA4 was really sad compared to SA. They could've done hella lot more with GTA4, but noooo they didn't.

   Re: Master Chef - 2009-07-03
 » lol ok

Who cares about the features if they're useless? I loved SA, great game with a giant open world, but the gym, fast food, stats all of that sh*t was dumb lol

 » Aren't we...

...a little overdue on a 3D GTA:London? the closest thing was "The getaway" on ps2 but that was awful.

   Re: Tashy P - 2009-07-04
 » Hmm

While I agree, there needs to be a UK set GTA and we are overdue on a 3d gta london 1969. I dont agree on teh getaway being awful. i thought it was amazing, was like a Guy Ritchie film and is on of my fav games. GTA and the Getaway are the only games i think to have really, got the 'open world gangster' genre done really well.
