GameCinemaHD has come across some images that show what could be some of the new features announced for the Xbox 360 at E3. The images show sections for the Avatar Marketplace, Avatar Awards, the Games on Demand feature, and Indie Games, among others.
Interestingly enough, Joystiq reports that Hobbtao, the Gamertag shown in the images, isn't listed on Xbox Live. Either Hobbtao is quite ballsy to break an NDA by distributing images that have his own Gamertag on them or these are fake. Until we find out for certain which is which, better treat this as a rumor. they should make it so users can chose if the want this xmb or not. i mean its nice for a 10 year old, but i prefer things that are more useful, easy to get to, and look sleek. idk i guess its microsofts choice

» this is not an xmb...
it is an xbox GUI. The XMB is a sony copyrighted GUI. i enjoy the NXE. But i personally enjoy ps3's XMB more. much simpler to navigate.

avatar awards sounds nice.

Looks fake to me.
Take a look at the second image. The outline around the text box looks like someone who doesn't know how to use the erase tool in photoshop. At least not without making it look like a second grader did it.
Maybe it was MS after all.... lol j/k

» Trust me it is real
I can confirm thats real, and the images are not edited in anyway even though they should be, the new stuff is nice, but there isn't much to unlock as far as rewards yet. The achievements are also displayed differently now, they are in blocks and all show up at once, they didn't show those here but it looks way better then it did before.

About time they included Avatar Awards. Not sure about the Avatar marketplace though, it's useless if MS doesn't come up with a virtual world. Something similar to Home... I mean Second Life. I wouldn't pay for virtual clothes, even if I did, I would least like to show my character off to strangers and not just friends in a chat room.
