Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed shot up to first place in the UK charts for the week of November 17, bumping off former top placer Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The Simpsons Game maintains its spot at third place from last week..

Another notable entry into the charts is Super Mario Galaxy, which the UK's official Nintendo Magazine gave a 97% rating; it came in at fifth place. Crysis came in at 11th place and Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga has risen to 8th place from it's spot at 13th last week.

Here are the top 20 best selling games for the UK for the week ending on November 17:

  2. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Xbox 360, PS3, PC)

So far I'm loving it, so this comes as no surprise. It's very beautiful, challenging, and meticulous. I personally haven't run into any glitches yet but maybe that's because I learned from Oblivion to clear my cache every so often for games like these.
