Xbox 360 120GB HDD - Image 1Screen Play, the gaming and tech blog of Australian news site, The Age, managed to get their hands on the new 120GB drive for Microsoft's Xbox 360, and they inform that included in the drive are the following 16GB worth of stuff:

The drive should cost Aussies around AU$ 229 or US$ 187.51 . Is the drive worth the price? Well, here's two things to think about:

First, The Age claims that there's still no word on when the Elite - which already comes with a 120GB drive AND and HDMI port - is going to be released. Second, Microsoft still doesn't like you modding your own Xbox 360, since some of you are probably thinking about just getting a Western Digital 2.5" SATA drive and install it in your current 360 HDD enclosure.

If you're an A/V geek and you really want space for those HD video downloads, we suggest waiting for the Elite (we've got reports saying that its "confirmed" for Winter 2007). If you really need the space, well, unless you're willing to put a SATA drive into your 360 enclosure, the official Microsoft HDD should keep you on Microsoft's good side.

Actually, The Age is a newspaper....

Anyway, 120gb Harddrive is good, but I'm fine with my 20gb for now.

Notice how M$ blocks you from upgrading your drive, forcing you to use theirs.

While with Sony, you're free to upgrade to any amount of space.

Just pointing this out, before a fanboy war breaks out.

» HDD and Dual shock pads

Notice how their is always an idiot with a PS3 who always posts negative ***** on every 360 post.

Notice how Sony force you into paying for a Dvd drive that most people would rather not have than end up with a reasonably priced console.

Notice that you miss the OFFICIAL drive for the PS3 is only half the size of the 360s and the developers will only for make software for the OFFICIAL sizes..

Hope you are enjoying the thought of all that money you are going to have to fork out again when the shock pads finally come out..

Notice how M$ blocks you from using component or VGA to reach 1080p.

Ill fork out another $50 when the shock pads come out. its just like forking out another $140 for the DS Lite, or $480 for another 360 Elite.

Whats the OFFICIAL size of the 360? 20 or 120?

» » Yo, buy both X360 & PS3 consoles [End of the Console War Debate]

So many losers online say their console (either PS3 or X360) is better. No, the PS3 hardware is better only because it’s newer; however, the deciding factor which will choose the winner of this console war is the content (games). Both consoles have numerous blockbuster (must-buy, ground-breaking, triple-A, console-selling) exclusive games. That’s why you must buy both consoles.

[PS3 Exclusives]
- Dynasty Gundam Musou (garbage): hack n slash
- Lair (garbage): aerial hack & slash
- Heavenly Sword (garbage): 20% God of War rip-off + 80% hack n slash
- Crysis like FPS from Crytek (garbage): best graphics + extremely boring gameplay
- Getaway (garbage): GTA rip-off
- The Eye of Judgment (garbage): another card game
- PS3 Home (garbage): don’t waste even 5 minutes on this

- Final Fantasy versus XIII (so-so): action RPG crap just like many other action RPGs

- Folklore (so-so): super-mesmerizing graphics
- SingStar (so-so)
- SOCOM Confrontation (so-so): SOCOM is the most sold shooter among all PS2 shooters. SOCOM is the most played online game on the PS2 + worse graphics than GRAW 1
- Resistance 2 (confirmed, so-so): lackluster Resistance 1’s sequel
- Haze (timed PS3 exclusive) (so-so): crappy run n gun just like Halo 3

- Heavy Rain (best): cinema quality game
- Warhawk (best): fantastic gameplay
- Ratchet & Clank (best): mind blowing graphics & character animation
- Uncharted-Drake's Fortune (best): Indiana Jones + top graphics & animation

- MotorStorm 2 (confirmed, best): dominating
- God of War 3 (confirmed, best): dominating
- Metal Gear Solid 4 (best): dominating

- Eight Days (best)
- Jak and Daxter (best): dominating
- White Knight Story (best)
- WarDevil (best): cinema quality game
- Pain (best): this arcade game is sadistic
- Silent Hill 5 (best): legendary horror

- Monster Hunter 3 (best): the PSP version is the most sold PSP game in Japan

 » convert from 20hdd to 120hdd

wondering if you buy a 120hdd and own a 20hdd..is there a way to transfer content from 20hdd to 120hdd or do you have to start fresh on the 120hdd, with a new profile and get all those achievements again !!!!

   Re: qw (Unregistered) - 2007-05-31
 » All right, two things

1. You can order a data migration kit from Xbox.com (well, you have to print out a form and either mail or fax it to MS, but you get it from Xbox.com) to transfer all your saves and other files. Found here:

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox360/console/datamigration.htm

At the bottom

2. I hate having to explain this to people, because it just seems so obvious, but whatever, Your Achievements are saved on Xbox Live servers, so even if there was no to transfer data or if you didn't want to you'd simply recover your account on the new drive and that's it. All your Achievements are tied to your XBL account
