Battlefield: Bad Company - Image 1Electronic Arts' Battlefield: Bad Company (Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3) promises not only big explosions and smiley grenades, but also an experience like no other. In an interview, EA senior producer Karl-Magnus Troedsson explained how Bad Company will cater to Battlefield fans while introducing a new way to look at games with guns and heavily armed enemies.

"Battlefield: Bad Company will change how you play shooters. It fundamentally changes how the second to second action between players plays out," said Troedsson when talking about destructible environments. This is due to bullets tearing walls down and tanks driving through forests. "All you need is the right tool for the job," he added.

Fans of the Battlefield series don't have to worry about new elements, however, because Troedsson assures that "the core mechanics, the sandbox game play experience that's the pedigree of all Battlefield games, is present in the new online mode as well as the single player campaign."

 » yeah yeah...

They always say that, but anyway, do we really want to change "ho we play"? lol. Anyway, shooters will stay shooters, no matter what they do, and it's the same for everything. I mean, it's not katamari damaci, it's a battefield game, it won't be THAT special, still, it'll be surely be great! :D

 » yep

Apparently, EVERY game changes the way we play. EA isn't special, this game will be another FPS game that has a fun gimmick that everyone will play with for a while, then get tired of. I bet the game will get exploited early on and people will be complaining about geometric destruction glitches and errors.

Patch after patch most likely. Meh, I'll most likely get it though. It should tide me off until Killzone 2 comes out. KZ2 will become my whole life. Seriously. >_>

 » No

it will change the way you play games because usually if someones camping in a building, you have to go in and probably* get killed, but on bad company you just blow the building up and reveal where he is hiding.

 » nope

Red Faction 1 + 2 let me blow up buildings and structures just like this game, and those two games came out in 2001 and 2002, respectively. This is nothing new.
