Chair Entertainment - Image 1
Pic not related. It's just here to look cool.

No, Epic's not making a game about chairs. The "Chair" in the title refers to Chair Entertainment Group, a Utah-based developer that Epic acquired last year. They're the ones responsible for the XBLA game Undertow.

Chair's currently working on "very, very cool" product which, according to Cliff Bleszinski, will be announced soon. Here's what Cliffy said in the latest Major Nelson podcast:

Our partners at Chair in Utah are working on a product that we’re going to be announcing at some point in the near future which is very, very cool.

Not sure if this is the same project as Ender's Game: Battle Room which Chair announced last year. It could also be Empire: Alpha Complex, an FPS based again on the Orson Scott Card book of the same name.

Ooo thats exciting. A new game from the people responsible for one of the worst games on XBLA...

Undertow was absolute crap. Without an HDTV you cant even make out your character, and if that wasn't bad enough the gameplay is absolutely atrocious.
