Blobbit Push: First commercial XNA game out now

Microsoft's XNA is already being put to good use, it seems. There are a lot of reasons why that is so, aspiring game developers are already dabbling on it and more and more people are sharing their XNA created goodies with others. And recently, the game development company, Cheeky, announced the release of their latest game Blobbit Push.

So what, games being released is just as common as breathing. Well, according to the Cheeky devs, this is the first game to be released on Microsoft's XNA platform and the first commercially released XNA game. Well, if that's true, this is a great step forward for both XNA and Cheeky.

Anyhow, Blobbit Push is an arcade puzzle game which revolves around the game's main character, Blobbit who crash-landed on a moon and scattered "Blobbit Babies" everywhere. Of course, this is where the bad guys enter the picture. Now, you must travel through 50 levels to release the babies for you to be able to go home.

The game is available for download and online play through our read link below. Demos are available in XNA, Java, and Mac Widget formats. Yeah, the game may not be that uber high-tech, but hopefully, it's a start of many XNA games to come.

Played the demo. I like a puzzle game but this is rubbish. As freeware maybe ok but for commercial it needs to be much better. Boring, boring, boring.

I thought it was great, and my 9 old son loves it.
I thought the 5 levels in the demo was ok, but wanted to play more, so bought it, and I can say it's really good. There's some very cunning puzzles later on.

Sokoban with baddies, worked for me. I guess there's no accounting for taste.
