Brutal Legend detailed, coming autumn 2009 - Image 1Let's start off today with some good news. Brutal Legend (PS3, Xbox 360) - the Tim Schafer game starring Jack Black as a Rock and Roll folklore hero - finally found itself a publisher.

After being abandoned by Activision after its merger with Blizzard, the game's been in publishing limbo for a while. Until now, that is.

Electronic Arts has announced that they are picking up the rights to the game. Awesome. I didn't expect EA to pick up the title, especially after CEO John Riccitiello said that it was a significant creative risk. At any rate, it's a fine addition to their expanding library of "risky" titles.

And just for kicks, here's the debut trailer in case you forgot how awesome this game's going to be. Not Kung Fu Panda awesome. Jack Black Rock and Roll awesome.

Don't forget, the game will also be making an appearance at the 2008 Spike TV Video Game Awards, which will air on December 14. The game is slated for a release Fall next year.
