It looks like Xbox 360 users who were expecting the upcoming map pack for Infinity Ward's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare(also on the PC and PlayStation 3) will have to wait a little bit longer before they can mow their way through another set of extra content for the game.In a recent announcement found on the Call of Duty 4 Game of the Year Edition website, it was revealed that Infinity Ward will be pushing back the release of the map pack to April 10 on the Xbox Live Marketplace. If you don't believe us, you can take a look for yourself by clicking on the Via link we've provided below. Although considering the day on which the announcement was made, we may have to watch out if this is just the developers' idea of a prank. The official CoD4 website neither confirms nor denies the delay of the map pack, so it might be worth noting that little fact. In relation to this, Infinity Ward programmer Jon Shiring confirmed that the PS3 version of game's downloadable content should be making its own appearance on the PlayStation Network "three weeks" after the Xbox 360 version. So why the long delay? There were speculations about how the developers wanted to focus its attention on the Xbox 360 DLC to maintain its momentum against Bungie's Halo 3 on the Xbox Live's "most played" list. Then again this is mostly just speculation, so it's still rather sketchy on how true that statement actually is. In any case, we'll be keeping a close eye for any further updates regarding the game. Just make sure to keep coming back to this spot for more tidbits on the upcoming map pack for Call of Duty 4.
