 Given how many betas are already lined up for the PlayStation 3, would
you really miss one? Well, that's what PS3 gamers can use to
console themselves after this news.According to Treyarch and Activision, the multiplayer beta of Call of Duty: World at War will only be available for Xbox 360 and PC gamers when it arrives next month. It seems that the beta went exclusive due to "increased server and connectivity data," as explained by an Activision representative. He goes on to say that most betas on the PS3 are first party anyway, so they'll be able to acquire more data on servers and connectivity from betas running on the 360 and PC. Xbox 360 gamers can get invites to the beta by either registering on the official website, or by pre-ordering the game at GameStop. Space is limited so you might want to register as soon as possible. As for PlayStation 3 gamers, well, there's still Killzone 2 and Resistance 2. Related Articles:

My name is Hudler, and I'm a recovering microsoft zombie. Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 are next generation games, so nothing can "beat" them. Second, COD WAW, or COD 5 if you will, IS NOT A SEQUEL to COD 4. Damn good engine, BUT it's Treyarch, not Infinity Ward. COD 5 will be the best Treyarch has yet to offer. Xbox 360 is a poorly made machine, not to mention the countless zombafied Xbox followers. Let's not pretend here.
Xbox had Halo, kickass, Halo 2, KICKASS, 127,000 ranked kills for myself. Fable, KICKASS. What other games that weren't 3rd party?

Xbox 360 has Marble Blast Ultra, Halo 3, and Gears of War. Those are KICKASS games. Gears 2 and Fable 2, I bet those will be AWESOME!

1. It's a beta. It's not that they get the full game.
2. CoD5 will suck badly. And i'm not saying this because the beta is exclusive on Xbox 360 and PC.
First BIG step to reduce the quality is giving the rights to Treyarch.
Second BIG loss is going back to World War II. Let me quote Matt91:

Playstation 3 is so powerful, there will not be a Playstation 4, not until there is new television techmoligy. Xbox 360 needs an upgrade, Treyarch does suck, but the engine is so good, plus this is a made up WW2, plus you can play as anyone. I will at least rent COD 5, Can't wait for COD 6

Everyone knows that this game is going to look and play better on the Playstation 3 anyway because COD 4 did!
I ended up selling my Xbox 360 because I never used it and it had no decent games.

I own both platforms and I enjoy both equally.
I play the 360 more purely as I like shooters etc and have so many for the 360.
This does not make my 360 better and I cannot say my PS3 is better.
Graphically the few PS3 games I have are all pleasing, whereas many of the 360 games are less so. PLESE NOTE I SAID GAMES. Many games on the 360 are also pure eye candy but not all and this is not a hardware thing but a developers thing.
Ranting and raving over a console must be fun for some people as it happens so often, however a good game is a good game and thats it. This idea of being exclusive is elusive as what we have on one today is everywhere tomorrow with many games. in a sense the console wars are also a game as they are by definition doomed. With hifi's having internet connectivity built in and HDTV's being supplied with wifi and other exotic connections and then figure in that most games can be played live and are server based then developers will go with the money. The money is in distribution and the gaming console of today will not be the future. It could still be an MS SONY battle for distribution rights but that where it will end as a developer wants us all not just one half of the gamer user base
