Nero and Kyrie as seen by Dante in Devil May Cry 4 - Image 1

Capcom has already revealed the cover and disc art for the Japanese Special Edition DVD of the upcoming Devil May Cry 4 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC). What makes the this limited edition DVD so special, you may ask? Basically the presence of behind-the-scenes content you won't find in the regular edition of Devil May Cry 4.

The main protagonist of this new game is Nero, a swordsman-slash-gunfighter who bears a resemblance to Dante and Vergil and a mean-looking right arm. While the spotlight isn't on Dante this time around, he will remain both playable and important to the storyline of Devil May Cry 4.

In a response to fans' questions and concerns about possible differences between the three versions of Devil May Cry 4, Capcom has reassured players that the game's content will be identical for all versions, and that the decision to go multi-platform was the best move for both Capcom and fans of the game.

 » Typo?

DMC4 is not the 2nd sequel in the series (the number proves that) And... DMC was released on PC as well, doesn't that make it the first DMC game to go multiplatform?

Either way, DMC4 is going to be absolutely awesome. ^_^

no thanks to you? how rude!

yes people, previous Devil May Cry games where also ported to PC. even RE4, Chaos Legion, Onimusha's etc.

so Capcom, how about giving PS3/PC people the old DEAD RISING. lots of people (non-xbox360) are clamoring for this. why ignore such public interest where you can gain more profit? talking about shying away from gold!
and yes we also want dead rising 2.

My bad. What I meant was that DMC4 was the second sequel as far as the storyline goes. DMC3 is more of a prequel than a sequel, even if it came out after DMC1.

Thanks for the clarification, though. I appreciate it. ^_^

Too bad they didn't make it a PS3 exclusive. It would have been better if it was a PS3 exclusive but now we have to settle for a dvd quality game. They should have just put it on a dvd disc for PS3 and shave $10 off the cost. XBOX 360 format, what a ripoff.

» Can't you cut out the fanboy BS for one second?

DVD on the 360 doesn't make PS3 versions of games worse, just as mini-DVDs on the GC last gen didn't made XBox/PS2/PC versions of games worse last gen!

Anyway, DMC4 looks great to me, I hope it turns out to be a great game.

 » Awesome

Oh and QJ staff where was the website you got that DMC4 will be released on January 2 instead of February like most stores has it listed, im just curious, thanks.

Anyway Looks great, however "and that the decision to go multi-platform was the best move for both Capcom and fans of the game", that can be debated. DMC was always multi-plat if you counted PC from the others. I just don't get They felt the need to do this, i would have liked a Timed exclusive to be honest. That would have been nice, Sony needs some extra help and it wouldn't take anything away from 360. I don't mind the whole 360 Ps3 move but still At least you wouldn't have come off like an ass Capcom, you have made some enemies from the fans with your BS stuff like its for the fans when we all know your trying to deepening your own freaking wallet. Money isn't everything.

I also thought Developers should take pride in making a game as good as came be and enjoying the fans play the game regardless of how much money they got or could have gotten. Im sorry if this comes off as a rant, but I feel Capcom has screwed Sony multiple times even as far as bashing them, and its inexcusable.

Its like sports People just care for the money and not for the love of the game, or in this case love of making games.

All i know is DMC4 better be good or i will be completely pissed off, not to mention you haven't told us any new info on the DMC that was supposedly coming or going to be in the works for the PSP.
As a gamer i feel Capcom is screwing around, kinda like EA is but i haver to give EA some credit on NHL 08 but still isn't the best, there is some issues with Dynasty mode and such.

 » erratum

We got it from here: http://www.n4g.com/News-79081.aspx

And Stealth! is right: release date of the NA version is in February. I got a little cross-eyed when I wrote the article and put January 2, instead of January 31. I also neglected to mention that that was the Japanese version, not the North American one. ^^;

My apologies, and many thanks to Stealth! for pointing out the error.
