BioShock 2 details confirmed News - Image 1

"There, there, don't cry. It'll all be over soon. Say, nice glowy eyes you got there."

I'm sure a lot of you have heard and read the rumors surrounding BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams - how you'll control a Big Daddy, and how you'll be fighting against the Big Sisters. Perhaps you also heard the rumors about giant squids and soviet soldiers. Better get your story straight. Here's the full story from Game Informer's exclusive preview.

First of all, it's true that you'll be controlling a Big Daddy, and the first fever Big Daddy at that. This Big Daddy has the ability to inject plasmids, just like Jack in the first game. You'll also be up against the Big Sister, who is tasked to kidnap little girls from coastal towns and bringing them to Rapture.

Like the first game, you can either choose to harvest a Little Sister for ADAM or you can adopt her. But if you choose to adopt her though, you'll have to protect her while she goes around harvesting ADAM from Rapture's corpses littering its streets.

The game will have multiplayer, but Eurogamer, who's seen the game in action, hints that co-op is out. Soviets too, for that matter. Whatever else you may have heard about BioShock 2 (360, PS3), at least you know these ones are true.

Thanks to Evensen for the tip!

I have the GI, I don't really think I like where they're taking it. Huge departure from the first game.
