Are you ready for some challenge out in the open battlefield? Yes? Good, cos Electronic Arts is hosting a Battlefield 1943 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) Community Challenge, which, when achieved, will reward you with the unlocking of a fourth (bonus) map.

The said fourth map is called the "Coral Sea" and will be unlocked once the multiplayer community achieves 43 million kills on XBL, as well as on the PSN. You'd definitely want to get this bonus map as it not only showcases the intense battle in the skies, it also gives you access to an all-new Air superiority game mode. It's an all-plane only map, so be ready to show off your mad dogfighting skills.

Battlefield 1943 is shipping out this summer with three maps: Iwo Jima, Guadalcanal, and Wake Island. You can get all maps, plus the bonus one, for US$ 15. Oh, and if you're dropping by E3, they're gonna be there too, right at the intersection of West Hall and Concourse Walkway. So if you wanna see these maps, do drop by.

Battlefield 1943 on the XBL will cost you 1200 MS Points, and US$ 14.99 on the PSN. PC folks will get theirs on September.
