Ó

I am still bothered by the concept behind Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3), if only because I'm having trouble embracing the idea that someone like Sub Zero could even do more than scratch Superman's cape. Still, I'm warming up to the idea, if only for the novelty factor.

At any rate, it seems the studio is doing a good job with the visuals (check out the screenshots below). As for the story, it will be written by comics writing team Kimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray, and veterans of the original Mortal Kombat team.

New info is also out from E3 detailing some of the gameplay modes in the game. There will be two kinds of "Kombats," Freefall Kombat and Klose Kombat. (All these Ks make me feel they broke their keyboard and couldn't put it back together again properly). In Freefall, you battle your opponents in mid-air while falling from one arena to the next. Klose Kombat has players players, well, in close combat.
