Details are really starting to roll in for Tri-Ace's new RPG, End of Eternity (PS3, Xbox 360). For the first time, we'll be seeing our new heroes and villains in action, with a few Japanese lines that we can't read. But if a picture's worth a thousand words, a video ought to show a hell lot more.
Gunners with moves, check. Perpetually-sad (and apparently suicidal) leading lady, check. JRPG hero with spikey blonde hair, check. Generic masked goons, check. While it's a pretty good trailer, it reveals that End of Eternity may not have a new formula as far as plot and characters are concerned. Details from the other day even sounded practically like a Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter rip-off. Graphics, good. Plot, err...okay...if it was the first of its kind. I'm hoping for redemption in the gameplay department, where Sega and Tri-Ace indicated seamless battle transitions and semi-real time battles. How about you guys? |

» Looks pretty neat.
I'm a bit interested in this game now. Seems like they have a decent plot set up so far. Hopefully it offers something new and doesn't end up a mediocre game. Not enough good RPGs this generation.
