The tentative release date of Fallout 3's Game of the Year edition has just been solidified thanks to an announcement from Bethesda confirming the October 13 release date. The price points mentioned last month have also been confirmed. That's US$ 59.99 for PS3 and Xbox 360 versions and US$ 49.99 for the PC version. The second DLC pack for Fallout 3 has been confirmed by Bethesda to be released in retail come August 25th, 2009. The said retail pack will feature Broken Steel and Point Lookout for both the Xbox 360 and PC. More details after the jump.

The upsurge in DLC releases hasn't just given gamers more reasons to play and replay their games again and again (and spending more money in the process, more often than not), it has also given rise to actual trailers for downloadable content. Anticipating the launch of the Mothership Zeta DLC for Fallout 3 on the Xbox 360 and PC, MTV Multiplayer asked Jeff Gardiner of Bethesda via an email interview if it would be possible to raise the level cap from the current 30. His answer: it's not advisable as it could make the game unbalanced.
