Halo 3 - Image 1The first major tournament for Bungie Studios' Halo 3 is being lined up for this year's G-Kon 2. In case you've never heard about it, G-Kon is a gaming, anime and sci-fi & fantasy convention with the emphasis being on the gaming side of things.

The Halo 3 tournament is going to take place on September 29, so that gives potential entrants four days to get their chops up to speed. Of course, beta testers will probably have a bit of an edge, but hey, you never know. For an added edge - and to ensure that you get to play - bring your own controller.

There are three divisions in the tournament: 1v1, 4v4 Capture the Flag, and the Hardcore Invitational. Prizes include a copy of Halo 3, four US$ 50 gift cards, and a Halo 3 Xbox 360 respectively. Registration is pegged at US$ 15 per event for the 1v1 and 4v4 divisions. Registrations for the Hardcore Invitational is at US$ 25.

The tourney's in Texas. ROFL...there are nerds in Texas? WTF? I thought there were only cowboys, busty chicks, hillbillies and oh. Never mind. BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN! Yes, that's where all the GKoners kick it.

ROFL. Gasp, and they're gonna host Halo 3? I can't believe they're gonna turn Mister Chef into a lil *****got Texan. Might as well toss him a cowboy hat and a horse. HAHAHAAHH!
