Flux - Image 1

French car maker Peugeot has finally proclaimed the winner of the concept car making contest. Dubbed Flux, this car will be reproduced in full scale at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show but more importantly, it will be a part of the official car roster of Bizarre Creations' up and coming Project Gotham Racing 4.

According to the owner of the design, his intention was to come up with a vehicle that pleases its occupants in every way. He added that while he was making Flux, versatility and sportiness are the two things in his mind. In case you're still not pleased yourself, here are other details about Flux:
  • The name Flux was inspired by the continuous change and flow of our daily lives during work and play.
  • The shape also represents this flow with transitions through hard and smooth lines, between straight and curved all of which are characteristics of Peugeot.
  • A relatively small car (3500cm long by 1650cm wide), it runs on a slim hydrogen power plant hidden in the back along with the tank mounted under the front bonnet.
  • The hood and side body panels are made from plastic, polyurethane for the seats and aluminium for the mechanical parts.
  • The main components such as the chassis and head protection are metal.
  • Made up of simple body work (basic intersected volumes) the car is easily produced and accessible to everyone but most of all, it's fun to drive.
  • Adding to this, the car is also a gaming hub thanks to the integrated Xbox 360.

I certainly couldn't do better, but it doesn't look very good to me. The car looks decent I guess (impressive for a 20 year-old), but the name is pretty unimaginative, and those seats looks about as comfortable as a couple of rocks. The 360 in the dash looks pretty cool though. Overall it's not bad but certainly not something I would pay a hefty price for.

Lol I wonder if anyone submitted a car with a PS3 in the dash, that would be hilarious.

Oh and I think those measurements should be in millimeters. 3500cm long by 1650cm wide is about 1370 long by 650 wide in inches.

Dude, if they put a PS3 in the dash you wouldn't be able to afford the car :)

I love the look of this car, I don't really mind slight discomfort if it looks better which I know is a bit silly but hey, it's my chioce :)

If they made the orage around the wheels electro luminescent then I'd be all over it :)
