GTA IV removed scene involves weapons and enemies' private parts - Image 1A lot have been said already about the rather explicit content of the video game Grand Theft Auto IV (PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360) from Rockstar North.

Some are so explicit, in fact, that the developer has decided to remove them from the final copy of the game. Such is the topic of conversation by the members of the forum Whirlpool.net, an Australian communications news site.

One member who goes by the name iCE654 even tried to contact Rockstar to get some clarifications. According to the forum member, Rockstar did respond to his inquiries and gave a brief overview of the scenes that were omitted. iCE654 shared what the developer said:

I can tell you that the scene involves a weapon being inserted into an enemies private area during a mission where Niko is taking revenge after one of his close friends was forced into sexual intercourse during his stay in prison.

Rockstar added, according to the forum member, that the above mentioned scene had to be deleted in order for the game to avoid getting the rating of Refused Classification. Rockstar itself, on the other hand, has still to confirm this statement.

Until it does, we'll have to tag this under rumor for now. Keep checking back here at QJ.NET for more updates on this game.

 » Adult Only Extra Content

Sony should allow for adult only extra content to download from the PS Network. This would be a great way for them to monitor age appropriate content more easily. Content like that they could then require the use of a credit card or something to allow the download. With scenes like this GTA one, the creators could then make the game more like they envisioned, ranking up with many movies that have content like this.

 » Umm

Its only removed from the australian CUT version seen as they only have a 15+ rating as their maximum, the rest of the world gets these scenes.

 » idk...

im pretty sure that would make a game get AO because it is a bit excessive. Hell, they changed the other GTA to AO temp. because of a modder readding a sex scene.

 » This only affects Austriala

This will be in the American version. The game was already rated and got M +17 and this specifically mentions AU so this is only for them. They have content removed R* even said they removed something this is what they removed.

"Well in regards to what Rockstar have removed for the Australian release..."

That's rather important QJ, and you should probably have mentioned that.

 » Seriously

The author of this article needs to fix it, because as it stands its grossly misleading.

This is only for the Australian release, and will be in the full version IF the source isnt just full of *****.
