This weekend will be a great time to fire up Gears of War 2 and jump into the fray to grab some extra XP. Epic Games has announced that from Friday morning until Monday morning, players will be getting double XP, with the winning teams also getting a 500 XP bonus. That's not all. Horde has also been tweaked a bit to formally add the Ticker squad, a group of Tickers that all spawn at the same time. Expect to see them a lot more throughout all the Horde waves, with the 10th wave composed of nothing but Tickers. Oh, and title update 4? Epic's forums moderator Rod Fergusson says it's "going to drop just in time for this event." No specific date or time mentioned, but it's apparently already out of certification so watch out for it starting Friday. Related articles: |

» so..
I'm torn between COD and GOW2? I havent been playing GOW2 lately, so I think I'll go with that, since the nade problem was fixed, I hated getting downed then shotgunned. Thanks Epic!

» 500XP
The bonus 500XP for winning the game needs to stay... there needs to be some incentive for winning and doing well. Call of Duty figured it out, Killzone 2 figured it out, and there's probably more that I don't know about, but a bonus amount of XP for being on the winning team is a very welcomed thing in my book.
