Geometry War

For some people, artistic inspiration isn't gained by reading up on the works of previous master painters. It's gained by whatever strikes our fancy in everyday living - and that includes video games.

The guys in Joystiq admit to being huge fans of the Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved, so much in fact that as author Vladimir Cole was visiting the University of Pennsylvania, he bought this painting done by Anastasia M. Wong, appropriately titled "Geometry War."

Anastasia made the portrait based on game screenshots she picked up from this Xbox Live title, and we're hoping the guys here would enjoy viewing this painting as much as the guys over at Joystiq did. Video games as high art? Sounds cool...
