Guitar Hero: Aerosmith - Image 1

So, you're planning to pre-order Activion's Guitar Hero: Aerosmith (Sony PS3, Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii)? No? On the fence, maybe? Well, here to lay your doubts to rest and bury them six feet under is an update that reveals everything you will get when you buy this particular rhythm game in advance. And when we mean in advance, we mean when you pre-order it via your favorite video game retailer.

Well, what do you get, then? Besides the obligatory game disc, you get the guitar controller, an exclusive Aerosmith faceplate for that guitar, and an Aerosmith tour book - three freebies in one package. This is currently available at most major U.S. retailers, and the bundle for each console will cost US$ 99.

While we certainly can appreciate the freebies - getting an extra guitar with a very cool-looking faceplate falls in our category of ridiculously-awesome swag - we can't help but wonder if they could have added more to entice buyers. After all, after the release of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PC), people may not want to buy another guitar controller. How about something like a Steven Tyler wig to go along with it? It'd definitely add to the immersion.

Updates as we get them!
