Gutiar Hero III: Legends of Rock - Image 1One of the most highly anticipated titles this year, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (Xbox 360, PC, PlayStation 3, Wii), will finally be released this Sunday in the US and over 3,000 stores are expected to hold midnight launch events so gamers can start shredding as soon as the game comes out.

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock was dubbed the "killer" game for the Wii. Analyst Michael Pachter of Wedbush Morgan also predicted that the game will be the strongest one this holiday season. It won't be surprising if the game is sold out in stores on its first day out so if you haven't pre-ordered, expect to have a hard time looking for a copy.

Certain GameStop stores will be holding the midnight launches on October 28 as well, so click on the Read link below to check out their site for the ones that are holding the event. You can also check the price list for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock peripherals there.

If you find yourself to be one of the unfortunate souls who scourged every store and hear the dreaded words "we're sold out" perhaps you can console yourself with Guitar Hero's soundtrack from iTunes until the stores can resupply.

 » Um

Since it's a GameStop post it's only fitting to remind you that they have trade deals. I just traded in PGR 4, Guitar Hero 2 and two *****ty DS games and paid mine off. Sure 4 games for one sucks but what else was I going to do? Show some patience and sell online? Screw that, time is money, the amount of time I waste on selling it online I could have leveled up four levels in Final Fantasy XI...
