Halo movie poster - Image 1Wondering about what happened to the proposed Halo movie? While we're in also in the dark as most of you guys are, we have a nice related tidbit that may light up the hopes of many Halo fans. In an interview with Ain't It Cool News, director Guillermo del Toro mentioned the Halo movie, among other things.

It should be noted that del Toro was once assigned as the director for the movie, until the privilege was given to fellow director Neil Blomkamp. Here's what del Toro had to say about the movie:

It would have been beautiful and I must tell that’s a… of anything in my life that I look back and wish it could have happened is that project, because it is such a powerful experience...I think there are angles to that game that are far more epic and far more complex as a cosmology than that. It’s not just about grunts in space. It’s much more than that. It’s a whole epic.

Well, there you have it. While it's hardly an indication of the Halo movie project moving forward, it's still good to know that the Halo movie is still being thought of by the directors, somehow.

 » Gears of War movie

While I'm sure many Halo fans would love to have a Halo movie, I am much more interested in the Gears of War movie which we all know is happening.

"It would have been beautiful"

HAHA as if anyone wants a ugly movie, come one be serious. I don't care as much as beauty as long as its entertaining and have alot of action, as movies are suppose to have.

Still i find that statement funny. But i just hope the story is good, cause we all know the story in the games were lacking quite alot, except the first, and it was only fun for multiplayer.

I will be super pissed if the movie isn't good.
