Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - Image 1Finally. The Potter gang is back (this time with more raging hormones and some erstwhile snogging behind curtains in between classes). After the whole ordeal with the "Harry Potter and the delayed video game" scenario, we get a street date notched in stone. The game was delayed due to the rescheduling of the movie, but now that mid-2009 is here, we can expect the game to finally roll in. What's more is that the game is coming out a few weeks ahead of the movie too!

Crucio! - Image 1Following Electronic Arts' press release yesterday about their video game for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince being delayed to summer of next year, an SEC document reveals some info on how much the company stands to lose. Since the game won't be released this year, their projected forecast for the 2008 fiscal year report would be US$ 120 million short!

Petrificus Totalus: Harry Potter 6 game delayed - Image 1Guess it's now official. Following the announcement of the movie's delay, Electronic Arts has now announced via press release that their video game for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be delayed to coincide with the movie's screening next year. Oh well. I'm sure the wait's worth it. Besides, free-roaming in Hogwarts... with Hermione? Aww... Definitely worth it.

Ron - Image 1 How much grief must a muggle bear? Just days after news hit that Warner Brothers was pushing the release of the sixth movie in the septology into 2009 comes this quote from an Electronic Arts spokesman regarding the fate of the videogame adaptation:

“We are making a great game that Harry Potter fans will really enjoy — we are evaluating the impact of the movie date change,”
