 Hideo Kojima recently visited the offices of Call of Duty studio, Infinity Ward. This was revealed by an anonymous poster in the 4chan board, of all places.While the source is a mite questionable, the poster did submit this photo as proof of the visit. The poster also said that Kojima was there "to learn" about first-person shooters. This caused a bit of ruckus in the rumor mill, with people taking this as a sign that Kojima's next game really is a first-person shooter. The rumors started when EGM gave unconfirmed reports that Kojima was visiting FPS studios, allegedly to learn more about FPSs. Then there was the Engrish ad suggesting that "a next Metal Gear" is coming to the 360. Robert Bowling of Infinity Ward gave some clarifications on the matter. While he confirms that the photo is legit, he also says that Kojima being there "to learn" from the developer is just BS: We're massive fans of Kojima's work, with MGS4 ranking up as one of my personal favorite games of all time. To presume Kojima and company has anything 'to learn' from us regarding game design is re-donku-lous. As fans of his team's work, we invited them to the studio for lunch and to check out what we currently have in the works while they were in Los Angeles. It's fairly typical for us to meet up with fellow developers whom we admire. Whether it be Kojima, Blizzard, or otherwise. So there you go. I'm sure this won't kill off rumors that Kojima's working on an FPS though. And "a next Metal Gear" is yet to be explained. Personally I'm hoping for a new Zone of the Enders game. if it wasnt confirmed for the 360 why would you suggest that? does 360 have enough power to run a metal gear? will it(they) fit on DvD9(s)?.... i read the comments to that post and the most legit one was something like iPHONE+AC!D.... yes the iPhone has less power but QJ said more developers were going to iphone(and now its a console?)

ok your opinon was 360, mine will stay with the iPHONE... if hideo did make a FPS or if he helped with the CoD that be awsome 9 didnt eave the studio for MGS?>?

Firstly, the guy from IW pwned everyone. Kojima is a genius in my opinion. He doesn't need to "learn" how FPS games work. What do you think, he just makes a game, then goes back to his home and sits there, doing nothing? I'm pretty sure he's a gamer just as we are.
And WHEN was it confirmed that that Engrish ad confirmed a 360 Metal Gear? It was just a few vague symbols with a green tint. That last symbol wasn't 360-like, it was the damn symbol for "Power" on almost ALL electronics!

MGS4 was already an FPS, sure you ran around 3rd person, but anytime you needed to do any type of accurate shooting, you switched to FPS....and always for sniping....so ya...wtf...

You could also use the First-Person mode back in MGS2. And MGS3. And MPO.
Oh, and I remember reading in PlayStation Magazine (R.I.P., sort of) back in 2003 when they did an interview with Kojima. This was at a time when people knew about Metal Gear Online, but it existed.
He revealed that his entire team that was working on MGO were huge fans of Counter-Strike. Yes, they are. It's pretty evident too. I noticed it through many gameplay elements even in the final version.

I think your in need of some anger management dude... you need to get a life too. If slaggin off consoles in CAPS with lots of swearing wihtout any good reason is your life then I pitty you...
Normally i would defend my console against idiots like u but I fear the argument will be pointless & u'll only go out & shoot a school full of kids like every sick angry american *****.... The PS3 is a great console, ur just too far up Micro*****'s arse to notice anything else...
Anyways back to the real reson I posted here....
I'd love for a Metal Gear ACID game to come to the iPhone.... That would probably push me toward buying one as I have always had an un-healthy attraction to Apple products. I've just needed a good reason to buy one, this might be it....
