Holy frak: Battlestar Galactica Online in development

The Cylons are coming. And no, not within the next 33 minutes. Actually, if this bit of news doesn't implode on itself, we can't expect those fraking bots to appear until sometime around October 2007.

For those who still don't have a clue about what this certain sci-fi geek of a blogger is writing about, there's a high possibility of an upcoming game based on the Battlestar Galactica franchise.

Simply titled as Battlestar Galactica Online, the game is still shrouded in its own Oort cloud of mystery. However, Fragland.com does report that it will be released on the 360 and would focus on "online masses." No need to be a rocket scientist to figure out the game's going to fit in the MMORPG genre.

We'll bring you guys more info as soon as those octagonal sheets of paper find themselves on our desks. And for what it's worth, I support Roslin!

Theres alot of competition for Space MMORPGs like Eve Online.

I remember playing Earth and Beyond and that games didn't take off well because it just didn't feel like a game in Space.

I like Space games, but if they want to be a success, they should model this MMORPG after the X series. The X series games have a huge learning curve so they dont have to make it as complicated, but the game is soo vast that it would do well if X was a MMORPG.
