XNA Game Studio ExpressWe know how pretty much everyone out there owning a 360 is probably spending much of their waking hours bustin' Locust butt in Planet Sera. But can we, for just a minute, take you to the side for a bit of an announcement? It's time to take XNA homebrewing to the next level.

The final XNA Game Studio Express version and XNA Creators Club are both just about to be launched and the XNA Team is going to celebrate its roll out. They're going to hold an event showing you guys how to build and run XNA Framework-based games on your 360 and PC. This event will also give you the chance to rub elbows with the XNA product team.

There will be product samples available, developed either in-house or by their associates. And if that's not enough, you can even show off your own games developed from the XNA Game Studio Express!

The event will happen on December 11, from 6-8p.m., in the Millennium campus at Microsoft, Building E - full address: 18600 NE Union Hill Rd., Redmond, WA.

Here's the neat part. The XNA Team will host a number of mini-tutorials and you guys can actually request whatever subjects you want them to cover. It's going to be a bit of an open-forum, only you'd have to let them know in advance. They're going to tally the most popular results and work on pulling something together for December 11. If you've got any ideas of what you want them to talk about, just click on the "Read" link and post your request.

Awesome...I am glad this program is being released. It gives people the chance to express artisticness and creativeness...plus imagine all of the software updates with new stuff to add to your homebrew.

I love interest in this when they said that I would have to pay $100/yr to transfer games to my box. And my friends would also have to pay $100/yr to transfer MY games to their box. And the games aren't cross-platform. It's 360 OR PC, not both.

So nevermind, if I ever want to write stuff for the xbox, I'll mod one and use that. I doubt I'll ever care again, though.
