ade Raymond and Hideo Kojima's baby: Assassin's Solid - Image 1Remember Hideo Kojima and Jade Raymond's interview from a few months back? Well, we might have been musing about them coming up with a Metal Gear Solid - slash - Assassin's Creed hybrid, and now... well... Let's just say we're pretty amused. In this gameplay video, we see Altair running around a familiar-looking war zone, carrying his own rifle and trying to fight a couple of... nah. Sorry. No spoilers. Anyways, though the video appears to not take itself seriously (clue: April 1, 2008), you can't help but think if there's actually more than meets the eye...

Lego - Image 1We all know how much fun Lego Star Wars was, but are we ready to see Master Chief, the Arbiter, and the rest of the Halo universe gang get kiddie-fied? We just might before the year ends. Images from Electronic Gaming Monthly">EGM and quotes from Bungie indicate that the project is real, but wait, what issue are we reading? Oh, snap! Bully - Image 1They say love brings out the best and the worst in people. We suppose that applies to just about everyone including video game characters. When Jimmy Hopkins of Bully: Scholarship Edition (for the Wii and Xbox 360) sets out to get himself some this Valentine's, he bites off more than he could chew. See what goes down when you view the video after the jump!

Dubious Videogame Awards - Image 1There are video game awards, and then there are video game awards. This particular video game awards feature is probably of the latter, but with a lot of good-natured irreverence thrown into the mix. While it would have been easier for us to just make an article about our favorite games (and we did), we felt that the gaming year of 2007 had a lot to offer, and thus we're giving credit (and blame) where it's due.

Check out the winners in the full article.

Conan O'Brien - Image 1If you fancy some off-topic humor for some easy viewing over the weekend, here's something to tune into: Late Night with Conan O'Brien and their recent segment with Rock Band.

Turns out that the WGA strike had left them with a lot of free time on their hands... Which makes us think that, yeah, video games really are benefiting from the writers' strike.

Gaming's most beautiful men - Image 1Getting tired of the same-old machismo that's prevalent in your daily dose of gaming? For the guys looking for an alternative to the said manliness, we've come up with a list of our  "beautiful men" of gaming. And while they're all indeed effeminate beyond compare, they're in every way just as bad-ass as the likes of Kratos or  Markus Fenix. Head on over to the full article for the list!

Halo 3 by Bungie Studios for the Xbox 360 - Image 1Bungie Studios' Halo 3 has already been released and the game's hitting an all-time high in the NPD charts, which probably also means a bit of rest and relaxation for Bungie's crew. Now that the Halo 3 crunches have subsided, do the Halo 3 developers have any fond memories of doing work for the game?

The latest update in Bungie.net has each and every member of the developer team recount their fondest Halo 3 memories, as well as words of thanks who supported them throughout the creation of the widely popular game.

The highlights in the developer's vignettes include ordering all-vegetarian pizza, falling down the stairs (to the enjoyment of the rest of the crew), making an entire level look like the inside of a large intestine, and one thanking his wife for not divorcing him "after yet another Halo crunch."

It's a fun read, and Halo fans should check it to read about each and every Bungie team member's appreciation to Master Chief's large following.

Oh, man! Just when we thought we've seen everything in the Halo 3 marketing parade, this one comes up and blows everything away. Make no mistake, this blogger has deep respect for the Master Chief and his posse, but this one may be a bit over the top. Anyway, this is the Halo Nights music video, you decide.

Catchy beat and nice lyrics, eh? Who would've thought that boy bands would find their way out of the pop culture graveyard and hitch right along with what could be the year's biggest gaming event? It's a strange combination but we dig it no matter if it makes you laugh or pisses you off.

Halo 3 is the supposed final installment in the main Halo series storyline with the Master Chief coming back to cleanse the world of Covenant scum. He's locked and loaded with bad-ass graphics, nice weapons, and the biggest PR machinery Microsoft and Bungie Studios have ever devised for a single title. Halo 3 is an Xbox 360 exclusive and it's not one to be missed.

Big thanks to Matt for the tip!
