Kotaku reports that in the latest issue of Japanese gaming mag Famitsu, Capcom exec Keiji Inafune has mentioned sequels for two of Capcom's big games: Dead Rising and Lost Planet (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC). Here's what Inafune reportedly said: We're finally putting out new Dead Rising and Lost Planet games! As a main principle we're thinking about multi-platform, and expanding upon both slightly from the Xbox 360 version. Lost Planet has already gone the multiplatform route, but Dead Rising has yet to appear on the PS3. Yeah, there's a Wii game, but that's not exactly a sequel now, is it? Capcom's decisions to put virtually all their new games on multiple consoles also lends a bit more weight to a PS3 entry in the Dead Rising franchise. A Capcom UK rep, however, has told CVG that the Inafune quote could have been a mistranslation as Capcom hasn't made any announcements regarding any sequels yet. Hey, it's happened before. Dead Rising is one of mine too. I can't wait!!! Although I do wish they'd make it for the PS3 also, even though I have a 360.. Imagine what devs could do if they were able to!!

YAY!...
maybe i won't have to pull out dead rising when i feel the need to slaughter zombies by the thousands...
here's hoping it will be multi-platform, so all the people unlucky enough to only have (or ignorant enough to only want) a ps3 the chance to enjoy one of the best games this of generation...

» Dead Rising for PS3?
I would be so happy.
My brother and I share a Wii, I own a PS3 and my brother got a 360 for Christmas. I told him to buy Dead Rising for the 360, because it's one of the only games I truly enjoy thats a 360 exclusive. Other than that he uses his 360 for Rock Band 2, the Orange Box and Left 4 Dead.
Still don't see the attraction to Left 4 Dead, but still Dead Rising is one of the few games this Generation I've truly enjoyed (so far MGS4 is the only other game, hoping to get some RPGs that can live up to those on the PS2)
