Like a real sneaky ninja, Tomonobu Itagaki came out of nowhere to reveal an Xbox 360 exclusive that should get action fans off their seats. Ryu Hayabusa is coming back for another adventure in Ninja Gaiden 2, and here's Team Ninja's leader at Microsoft's pre-Tokyo Game Show 2007 press conference unveiling their latest title.

After proudly dubbing Dead or Alive 4 as the premiere fighting game on Xbox 360, Itagaki promised a better Ninja Gaiden this time around thanks to the power of the new platform it's appearing on. In fact, he proclaimed Ninja Gaiden 2 as the best action game in the world even before it appears on shelves.

Itagaki's claim, while arguable, is not baseless. A demo played in real-time was shown on stage and it didn't fail to impress. Gorgeous graphics, fast-paced action, and glorious gore combine to make Ninja Gaiden 2 something worth watching out for. Find out what we're talking about by watching the video below.

I really hate Itagaki. I would pay someone a lot of money to let me kick his ass.

His games are baseless and bouncy with no shred of game design talent.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma. The only good Team Ninja game. Was done by someone else.

PS3 Fanboizm at it's best. Sigma is a port of an Xbox 1 game. Obviously u dont know crap about the series.

Uhh... No freaking duh!

I already knew that.

What I'm getting at is that the port to the PS3 added a lot of nice touches and much of the new stuff was thought up by the lead designer instead of Itagaki.

Once again. I would love to beat him up. Daily.

Most of the game is based on Itagaki's work. Seems strange to dis the guy for that and praise the guy that only had to add some extra sauce. Itagaki said he wasn't totally happy with NG Black because of time and money holding him back. That's the reason he choose MS as the publisher for NG2, cause they have big pockets. Both him and Yousuke Hayashi talk a lot of crap. Itagaki said that Tekken sucks, and Hayashi bashed DMC. Lot more people hate them for that.

Im not a big fan of the 360 but when i see sick a.s.s games like this, its hard not to like the game. I think i found my reason to finally get my 360, besides halo 3 of course. Well done team ninja, hope to see a cool new NG game for PS3 in a couple of years. I love Sigma but this looks freaking sweet.
