Konami recently revealed a few more bits and pieces about the Saw videogame (PS3, Xbox 360, PC). The publisher had bought the rights to the game after Brash Entertainment ran out of money and decided to cut it loose.
Anyway. Details. Players will be controlling a character in an asylum who has to solve Jigsaw's puzzling traps and save the victims trapped in them. Some of the traps will be translated directly from the movies. Konami marketing director David Daniels also laid down the differences between Saw and the Silent Hill series: Silent Hill is more about psychological terror, but Saw for us is more about graphic, intense horror that overwhelms you. We want players to turn away from the screen for just a moment because of the visual intensity. Speaking of visual intensity, the screenshots Konami released don't look too impressive. Considering that Brash was reportedly nearing completion when they had to drop it, it'll be interesting to see if Konami and new developer Zombie manage to put out a better looking game than what the screenshots present. Just my opinion, though. Check out the screens (and a piece of concept art) below and judge for yourself. The game's set to come out this fall alongside the sixth Saw movie. Related articles: |

Why waste money in this day an age making crap like this. Theirs a reason they make one every year because its stupid, making a game wouldn't make much since either

Horrendous display of arguments.
Horrendous display of arguments.
» I have to agree
Aren't they at number six or something stupid like that. No movie stays good up to that number. Especially not when they release the next one every year. This game will be terrible and anyone excited for it should feel terrible.

C'mon, does anybody here believe that therer will ever be a good movie-based game adaption? Hell NO. These kind of games will always suck, because they are poorly developed, quickly thrown-together junk. They are just trying to make money of the franchise. Too bad there are too many stupid kids who are blinded by the industry buying this *****.

» Movie Based Games
I'm sorry, but there already have been some amazing movie based games. Goldeneye, the old Capcom NES movie games, and Chronicles of Rid***** are the ones that come to mind. Chronicles of Rid***** is fairly recent too, a new game came out just last week I think.
There are some good titles, but some people (such as you) are too ignorant to accept that.

Saw 1 was good, the rest have gradually got worse, now they're bringing a crappy game out too? hopefully they won't be contracted to make 7 games...
