PS3, Xbox 360, PC - Damnation - Codemasters, Blue Omega - Image 1

Aside from seeing just a bunch of screens and fact sheets here and there, we haven't heard much from Damnation recently. Some of you (myself most definitely included!) might want to see how the game will actually play like. Enter the Verticality trailer.

Finally we get to see this game in moving pictures! The steampunk theme is indeed crawling over the entire place - glad it's pretty consistent - and the shooter aspect looks, well, like pretty much any shooter game would. But what looks fun though are all those stunts!

I'm thinking Lara Croft meets... err, ok, fine, Steve-o from Jackass, let's say.

In this trailer we hear from Blue Omega producer Richard Gilbert and lead multiplayer designer Justin Richmond. They discuss the exploration aspects for Damnation - the stunts, the climbing, the ledge grabbing - and the way they describe it, the whole "grab ledges and find your way around" bit reminds me a lot of scaling the Colossi in Shadow of the Colossus.

Codemasters' Damnation is scheduled for release this winter on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
