 Engrish subtitle - Image 1

There, there. The Last Remnant team aren't just shrugging off the PS3, after all. In fact, they're thinking of adding in the Japanese dialogue for the PS3 version. This was revealed in an interview with Videogamer by editor dialogue Yuji Isogawa.

Says Isogawa-san, the Xbox 360 version didn't have enough space for the Japanese dialogue, but "it would be cool" if Square Enix does include it for the PS3 version. The 360 version is on a standard 8.5GB dual layer DVD while the PS3 Blu-ray discs can store up to 50GB.

It's been a steady clamor of RPG fans to be able to switch from an English voice over to a Japanese one with subtitles. Makes it feel more authentic that way, so they say.

Because this is the 360 version and it's just a DVD we didn't end up with enough room on the DVD to have two languages worth of voice. There's a lot of voice in this game. It would be cool if we can do that for a Blu-ray release. We'll See!

Well, we could be finding out soon, hopefully. The Xbox 360 version comes out on Thursday, November 20th, while the PS3 and PC versions are a sure-go, albeit without any release date pegged yet.
