Seems like there's been a rumor going 'round that the demo for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed will be going live on both the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live this Thursday, August 14.

The rumor seems to have stemmed from a recent X-Play episode that mentioned the date. LucasArts, however, has been quick to squash the rumor. Adam Kahn, Senior PR Manager for LucasArts, told TalkPlayStation.com in no uncertain terms that no, the demo will not be coming out this week:

The Force Unleashed demo is not coming out this week. If X-Play said that it’s coming out this week, they’re wrong. They will have more information about the demo in their show on the 14th.
