Dead Rising Capcom - Image 1Remember the legal tussle between the MKR Group and Capcom over Dead Rising being too similar to George Romero's zombie flicks? Just recently, the MKR Group finally sued Capcom about the issue.

According to the complaint filed by the MKR Group in New York's U.S. District Court, "both works were dark comedies," stating that both Dead Rising and the Living Dead movies had their share of comedy relief from zombies, as well as satirizing the mall culture with "sensationalistic violence."

In the last update, MKR Group sent a letter to Capcom, Microsoft, and Best Buy, where the Group complained that the zombie-busting game was too similar to the Living Dead movies. It should be noted that Capcom already filed a case against the MKR Group as well, declaring that Dead Rising did not infringe on the movie rights owned by the MKR Group.
