Xbox 360As of this month, financial reports have it that Microsoft has already shipped more than five million units of the Xbox 360 all over the world! According to the fourth quarter report for the three months to June 30th, MS shipped 1.8 million Xbox 360s during the period. Add that to the 1.7 million units shipped in the third quarter, and 1.5 million consoles in the pre-Christmas holiday season and the overall shipments exceed the 5M mark.

North America got over 3.3 million of those units, while MS shipped 1.3 million to Europe and only 400,000 in Asia. Microsoft once again said it is on track in meeting its target of 10 million Xbox 360s sold (or at least, shipped) by the end of 2006. But the company also set another ambitious target of selling 15 million units by the end of the next financial year in June 2007.

» OMG here we go again.

you are trying to start trouble eagle28, people like you are the reason why the middle east engage in a neverlasting war over religion. How is that similar to what you said? Your attitude are like this: you like 360 then everyone must like it too or else. OMG I really hate people like you.

 » hmm

the only problem phrozen, microsoft has been very good with replacing broken units. unlike sony when i had a problem i was told i had to pay shipping both ways and it would take between 1 1/2 - 3 months to fix.microsoft pays for shipping and only takes 2 weeks tops.

» you are an idiot eagle28

you know 360 cant really win completely. why? because Japanese consumer refused to buy 360 and much less than 100,000 unit was sold, so xbox 360 is not doing good at all in Japan, and on top of that it cost less than a nintendo ds in Japan.
And since ps3 are already guarantee to sell in usa more than xbox 360 sale in Japan, you know it is not true than 360 will sell more. On top of that, Europe will buy a lot of ps3 since a lot of them reserve it already, and of course Japan will buy ps3 a lot more than Usa buying xbox 360. If this is true then ps3 will outsell 360 in less than a year.
Let me break this down, predict Console sale in Japan ps3>360, predict Europe console ps3>360, predict which lauch system sell more in its native country (ps3 in Japan>xbox 360 in usa). No one can deny more than 1 of these prediction so there.
Wow so gay, I dont want a ps3.
You really are an ignorant fool, eagle.

update: ps3 sell in usa > xbox 360 sell in Japan, thats four prediction. The most doubtful one is Europe, but since european love ps2 and preserve ps3 in store, I dont know. I really think ps3 will win in sale. Why do you think they calm down

 » lol nizzk youre wrong

my xbox 360 broke down under warranty, and send it back.
after i got it back, it broke in less than a week so i call them and they will charge 100 dollar to repair or replace. Now a lot of other 360 user are now force to pay 100 dollar to repair 360 that was cause by hasty production. Now ask yourself this, whose fault is it that many of our 360 break due to hasty production? although agree sony make you pay both ways, even on disc read error problem which they were forced to fixed by court of law. so if you think about it both company are equally as unfriendly.

I own a 360, got it the day it was released, still got it now,and have had no problems wth it.

i love my 360, Xbox live is untouchable and is easy to use.

I DO agree that the 360 isent the most perfect console in the world... it has problems, but lets not forget Sonys record lol

The PS3 wll sell alot dispite the price, BUT i wouldent be surpriced is Microsoft make this goal.

the PS3 may win this war, but it also has a good chance of failing, so lets all stop trying to predict te future and just WAIT......

 » what the *****

All of u *****ers saying the ps2 dies after few weeks or months of usage is bull*****!, i got my PS2 since 2002, i had never ANY problems with it, it fell from the desk a few times, and it still works flawlessly!, and only those PS2's which are modchipped get destroyed easily because the *****ing laser gets killed....

PS. i also got an xbox360, and it NEVER crashed by me, neither overheated, and i keep it in the horizontal position...

PS2. Microsoft has big chances to reach that amount a week or 2 after 2007, because in fall 2006 lots of good games will come out, and on the beginning of 2007 Halo 3 comes out

» 15 million is too much, unless a miracle

Microsoft has sold just over 5 million 360's in 8 months. If we estimate from those number, which include a Christmas season, We come up with around 11-12 million by June 07. Unless Microsoft things it can start selling more units then what it has been.

The only way Microsoft could make this happen is if 3-4 million extra people buy a 360 for Halo 3.

» noin, i dont see anyone saying ps2 break after few weeks.

if you are refering to the disc read error, its a common defect which has nothing to do with your care, it is just bad workmanship from production. it can work barely from time to time. To tell you the truth i never experience it at all and i got it since launch.
and tom from myspace, who hate on xbox 360. I really don't see any "hate xbox 360 post yet"? I simply mention that eagle's attitude is not too mature. Just because he loves it then everyone must agree and assume that xbox 360 will conquer before ps3 come out is so, how do i say, ignorant.
techno point out that ps3 will rule in sale due to ps2 history, and that is not a "I hate 360" is it?

but the first 4 months showed tramendous shortages so you cant realy gauge it like that

   by Warrior (Unregistered) - 2006-07-22
 » HA HA

Maybe 10 million but not 15 million. Microsoft may think they can ship 15 million units but will they "sell" 15 million units. That's the big question. I think it won't happen because the hype for that console is dying.

 » ?

When ps3 launches i think it will grab all the mainstream gamer attention if microsoft advertises right and makes a big deal about the price difference i reckon they could have it in the bag.

Also with all the new releases coming out up to this xmas a lot more people will have a reason to get it with all the titles it should have had out months ago.

 » Depends

If halo 3 comes out before that period then anything is possible teh 360 may reach 20million+ sales, depending on shipment too.
