BIOWARE ANNOUNCES MASS EFFECT 2 - Image 1

After months of hinting and teasing, BioWare has finally officially announcedMass Effect 2, promising a more engaging game than the first. According to the press release, the sequel will have "intensified combat and expanded weapon options as well as increased depth of planet exploration, all while delivering a powerful, emotionally engaging story."

No PlayStation 3 version has been announced yet, contrary to a rumor started by EA's John Riccitiello. But that doesn't mean it won't come eventually. The game is slated to be released in 2010 for both the Xbox 360 and the PC. And just to remind you what we can expect from the game (or at least, keep us wondering what to expect):

Microsoft was probably still in the talks with Bioware and EA about the exclusivity. Seems like Microsoft got the deal.

that the first one was produced under Microsoft Game Studios?
So that would mean it would never come to PS3 right?

Just thinking.....

 » Yes

It was, but then EA bought Bioware. And EA is in the business of whoring its games out to as many consoles as possible. So it will come to PS3

Hopefully they will also release ME1 for the PS3, so PS3-only gamers can check that out, it's an amazing game

Here's hoping for two men hooking up in our vaguely offensive sex scenes.

I too plan on calling the Christian coalition with an expose on gay values being imposing upon our intrepid space adventurers.

 » Cool.

It's cool that we'll get a sequel to Mass Effect.

I loved Mass Effect, bought it in December for $17 used at Gamestop for XBOX 360. They game was fun to me, I put about 40 hours in before I won the game.

I liked how the game combines a Sci-Fi and an RPG all in one.

The graphics are good on Mass Effect and I really loved the citadel.
