While scanning the Australian portal to Xbox.com, it was found that the release date for Mass Effect for the Xbox 360 had been marked May 18, 2007. Now it's old news that the release date of this sci-fi epic, in both graphics and music, is set at the first quarter of 2007.

But having been informed of the suspicious release date, Microsoft had the information removed and had nothing further to add regarding it. Whether or not the date still rings true, it marks the game for take-off at the second quarter of 2007.

And yet another mystery that looms over the incident is that it could be the release date of the Aussie version of the game, though many claim it probably is for the game itself.
