Master Chief in action!Peter Moore, Microsoft's Corporate Vice President (Interactive Entertainment Business in the Entertainment and Devices Division), added something for gamers to look forward to this coming E3 - and boy was "something" an understatement. According to him, the legendary 'Master Chief' of Halo will walk the E3 red carpet - all geared up and with guns blazing!

Before Jack Thompson got word of this and request a TRO on Master Chief, what Mr. Moore said exactly was “Expect to see the first footage from the next instalment of Halo at E3, which might shift some focus away from the competition." In effect hinting that the revered Super Soldier will make an appearance to highlight the said footage (hey, a Halo video without Chief is not very different from a console without games). True enough, speculation piled up whether the gimmick will be a CGI, an in-game footage, or maybe even Jean Claude Van Dame dressed up ala Universal Soldier (Ugh, ok, that's a stretch).

Master Chief PoseMaster Chief is a soldier named John carrying the code Spartan -117. He is a genetically and cybernetically molded Super Soldier designed to put down rebels and insurgents within the United Nations Space Command. Although he is technically strong, fast, and brilliant, he is surpassed by other Spartans in all those areas. What sets him apart is his leadership skills and equal distribuion of the said attributes. I know you're wondering how he'll look like if we come across him the real world, so here's something to feed your imagination. He's about 7' tall (as tall as Shaq), and weighs about 1,000 pounds when in full battle armor (as heavy as a rhino).

Although the game is currently still under development (and all-out promoting), Mr. Moore said that "the game won't hit stores until 2007, however.” So seeing Master Chief this coming E3 is really a must for us to control the boiling urge.

Is it just me who thinks HALO is way over rated? It's just another 3rd person shooter. The enemies and weapons are boring and i can name 3 or 4 other shooters i'm looking forward to over HALO 3.

 » Wrong.

They're just taking quotes from this article and attributing them to Peter Moore. He never said any of that. It was a speculative article to begin with. There is a chance we'll see some of Bungie's next project at E3, but there's no confirmation yet that it's Halo3, nor have they confirmed that they're actually presenting.

 » how he moves?

He moves under all that armor because he is a super person. He was genetically altered to give him super human strength, and other stuff.

 » Halo (Game Informer Magazine)

I read in game informer magazine yesterday that Microsoft and Bungie both deny the existance of Halo 3. I'd love to see a Halo 3 but even with the hype, I kinda lost hope by reading that. Did anyone else read it ??

once I saw a post by another dumbass who said that the ps3 was way better because it had a hd-dvd. The post by #1 in my book was worse

 » haha

haha third person shooter? thats like saying final fantasy is the best first person shoot em up ive played. anyways, i think im expecting too much from halo 3 videos. if i see a video, i want it to be AmAzInG! if u know what i mean. halo is a big franchise and the 360 would do AWESOME if HALO3 was AWESOME. right? ok and i got a really cool idea that most people are going to hate me for. i think that the xbox360 and ps3 should have some games that can be played online with different systems. for example. im playing "generic first person shooter" against some guy on his ps3 from my 360? yea it sounds stupid but its possible

 » Bring Back the Weapons

First off I was completely let down with HAlo 2 becuase of the weapons. How rediculous is it to change the best ( and Primary) weapons in the game for little pieces of sh** Its totally messed up. I like Halo 2 but its not as good as Playing Halo PC (Which included customizable created maps). In all Halo 3 will lure me over only as long as it brings back the pistol and the original assualt rifle. And not to mention that graphically Halo PC looked a lot better on the PC than Halo 2 on the Xbox.

PS3 wil be t3h DEAD and WOT 2008 UK GAngsta

» No.... only bring back 1 weapon...

i wont believe anything about halo 3 unless bungie says it themselves... i can understand no.22's veiw on the old pistol, but the battle rifle is much better than the assault rifle (which i barely ever used). and i'd have to say ur wrong bout the gfx being better on halo pc than halo 2...

there's too many rumours flying around, we shouldnt listen to anything until bungie releases an official statement or we wait till E3, which is like VERY soon, so big hype! wooo!
