Gears of War 2 - Image 1

The All Fronts Collection DLC for Gears of War 2 popped up on the Marketplace recently a few days before its official release. A lucky few spotted it in time to download it for the practically half-off price of 800 MS Points.

If you were one of those few, rejoice. Epic Games and Microsoft are letting you keep it. Here's the official line delivered by a Microsoft spokesperson:

The small, lucky group of Xbox LIVE members who were able to download the content during the short window it was available will be able to retain the content for the price at which it was purchased as well as keep all related Achievements. There won’t be any penalties for those who purchased this content early. Think of it as a lucky treat for those with quick reflexes!

The All Fronts Collection DLC will officially be released on Tuesday, July 28, along Dark Corners for 1600 and 1200 MS Points, respectively.

Why do I never get into these things? That's totally bull***** that not only do they get it early, they get it for half-off.

I bought a 1600ms points card just for all fronts last month. :(

Your Microsoft's *****. You support patent infringement, hatred, monopolies, evil business practices, theft, and many other similar things.

Oh excuse me. All this time I thought that was Sony.

My bad. How silly of me it was to have a opinion that differs from yours.

Funny thing is, if this happened on PS3 your buddies who got it early for half price, could share it with you. So you would get it early and for free as long as you knew someone who got it....

seriously? how many times can you send out for-pay content on PSN?

I've never gotten a straight answer, some people say 5 unique ps3's some say as many as you want. I have only done it with two friends so have never even reached the theoretical 5 limit...
