Does the 360 wear out the games after extended play? I've played Halo 2 for hours on end and the disc never kicked out. Any info?
Only the first gen 360's damaged the discs. The later ones are fine.
No, it used to be (might still be) that if you jolted your 360 while a disc was spinning, it'd make a big circular scratch.
Anyway,
Microsoft is kicking ass with these new policies, including the plans to do away with DRM on their Zune service! KUDOS, MICROSOFT!
the new ones still eat discs (mine does) but i didnt move it.
my 360 cracked my gow disc in three ways but im getting it replaced 4 free from microsoft. so i ain't complaining.
Why is Halo 2 $20 to replace? You can go out and get Halo 2 for $15 new
why are you complaining? if youre smart, you'll just go out and buy a new Halo 2 then...
That's what Microsoft wants you to do, spend the extra $5. It's called business.
I didn't even know this one, but of course I would never own an xbox... It eats discs? That's stupid as fuc k.
On a side note, the bluray discs are coated with a special polymer that lets them withstand horrible abuse, including steel wool!!
But yes, of course. Your dvds are so much better!! lol
Idiots.
ACTUALLY IT DOES EAT DISCS SO SHUT THE HELL UP.........IT ATE 3 DIFFERENT COPIES OF GoW
All my games still look perfect and I play them all the time.
The coating on blu ray discs is hard, even harder than the laser. If for some reason the disc becomes misaligned, the disc can actually scratch the laser! Better hope that never happens.
It only scratches discs if your retarded enough to move your 360 while its on.
Another lie from the fingers of no common sense... No, a BD will not scratch the laser. Moron. That's creative though... It's interesting how your thought process works.. Are you autistic?
Disc becomes misaligned??
Fu CK YOU ass hole.... :)
You just lie, all the time.. It's silly.
I had my 360 vertical for a short time and had a disc get all scratched simply from trying to eject it. Result - I don't stand the unit vertical. Microsoft should never offer vertical as a selling point, the disc barely stays in when it's this way and the slightest bump results in a scratched disc. Unfortunately, my disc was not published by Microsoft. Shouldn't they still have SOME liability for my damaged disc?
