If Midway's Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe doesn't seem to make sense to you, worry not. Creative Director Ed Boon took the time to talk about the crossover title and to explain the game's premise, it's feel, and the possible rating that may end up having.

According to Boon, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe will be a story-driven game. If you really want to understand Midway's crossover, the story mode will bear out the details as to how and why the two universes came to merge in the first place. As Boon put it: "Everything is going to make sense when you play the story mode."

While this new game may have DC Universe characters in it, Midway is striving to keep the Mortal Kombat feel intact. Nevertheless, he says that the game may end up with a Teen Rating. This means that while the game will be brutal and intense you probably won't get to see Sub Zero decapitate Batman or anything like that. Instead, Boon said that finishing moves will reportedly trigger certain "big events."

Boon also touched upon other topics, such as the general composition of the Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe character roster and telltale character damage indicators. If you'd like more information on those, feel free to watch the video interview right here:
