If you own an Xbox 360 and are one of those who are unfortunate enough to have to send their consoles to Microsoft several times due to the Red Ring of Death, then you may want to do this to your Xbox 360 console if you're tired of going through the repairing process all over again: modding and using the broken 360 as a CPU shell. |

ya I can see that happening :)
here in japan there's lots of diy small pc parts such as mobo etc.
but what a very expensive PC Casing + joypad, 350 bucks.
the hdd is usable on pc but it must be hacked or something.
Nice mod man, how many hours and how much was it to do??? Would you be willing to write a tutorial I wouldn't mind doing that myself!!
If you've built a pc before and used a dremel tool i think you should be able to do it. I would use a Micro ATX MoBo. built in video because there wont be space for a card. i woulda used more ram tho. 528Mb with a 3gig cpu seems low to me. you will need to use an external powersupply and a laptop dvd burner because of space issues.
or could switch the system from pc to xbox360 being able to play pc games and xbox 360 games using one system
the point is that he gutted it and put in computer parts. but that would be awesome.
Ya because the small enclosed case of the 360 wont overheat a PC like it did his 360 lol.
those have even less space than the 360 and seem to sufficiently cool
it's all about component placement and airflow
you wouldn't need a cd drive if you have a physical or virtual drive shared via network
Wow that's great! I wish I knew enough to do that with mine lol
I wan't to know how he got the BIOS on the 360 - and what BIOS he used!
The GFX is a custom ATI chipset - related in somesorts to the X1900.
cause_of_chaos
its not a 360 its just a case i believe
