Dead Space's Elite and Obsidian Scorpion Suits - Image 1

To further jack up the Dead Space (PS3, Xbox 360) hype, Electronic Arts has recently announced a Dead Space limited edition bundle. They're also giving out downloadable platform-exclusive Scorpion Suits. We got more details on these suits today.

Apparently, these suits - Elite for the Xbox 360 owners, Obsidian for those with a PS3 - give players "increased toughness and increased inventory slots". There seem to be no drawbacks aside from having to buy Dead Space within the first two weeks of release, so if you want to have an easier time playing the game - even on your first playthrough - you should probably consider getting them.

An EA spokesperson told MTV Multiplayer that the suits will be accessible through stores found in the game. They'll be there until October 28. An earlier EA press release also mentioned that they can be downloaded through the PlayStation Network (the Obsidian PS3 suit) and Xbox Live Marketplace (the Elite Xbox 360 suit). Dead Space hits North America on October 14.
