Aaaand here's another Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) video whose violence levels are so incredibly heart pounding that I'm afraid I'm about to yawn. Bear witness to the fatally fatal fatalities of Sonya Blade, Catwoman, and Sub-Zero!
Fatal! I'm probably bearing down a little too hard on the game, but I'm teed off that the devs decided to Teen-ify Joker's Fatality. Yes, in case you haven't heard, Joker's Fatality - the only one I can say deserves the word Fatality - was modified. Here's the unedited version: Unfortunately, the second gunshot now happens offscreen, to keep with the game's Teen rating. Damn. Related Articles:

That has nothing to do with it. The game has scaled-back violence because DCU wouldn't allow decapitation/dismemberment/gore in the realm of their superheros and villains.

Then they should have known better and just went with MK6 with all the gore intact. As already pointed out below, 'Mortal Kombat' wi thout gore is NOT MORTAL, and hence, complete *****.

Games don't have to be violent to be good but I think Mortal Kombat does. The gameplay has never been good enough, it's always been about the interesting characters and brutal moves. Take that away and what's left??? Honestly I hope I'm wrong, I hope this is good, but from what I've seen so far I doubt it. I'd rather wait and get my fighting fix from SF4 or Tekken 6.

Ok so there going to lower a mortal Combat game to a T rating and think its gonna sell, um yeah you know why games lie Soul Caliber Tekken, Street Fighter have teen Ratings because there actually good fighters the only thing Mortal Kombat has ever had going for it is its violence I mean I haven't played a good MK game since MK Trilogy for the 64 this will fail they might as well kill this franchise it sucks and with people saving there money for those killer app games im sure this will not be one of them.
