Today we've got a whole load of new screenshots from Hydrophobia, Blade Interactive's upcoming title for the Sony PS3 and Microsoft Xbox360 video game consoles.

Hydrophobia is a horror/survival title built from the ground up to take full advantage of HydroEngine, a fluid dynamics engine that Blade R&D developed over the last three years. HydroEngine provides truly dynamic water whose behaviour is altered by every physical action and event in the game; meaning you will never get the same behaviour twice.

"From the outset we wanted to create a robust & unique next generation game that will remain a benchmark for decades," said Deborah Jones, Joint Managing Director of Blade Interactive. "It is a combination of the industry's best talents combined with awesome technology never seen in video games."

If they wanted a water physics game it would have been fun if they made a war ship game or something. I think that would be cool. A game where you can design your own ship, everthing from the shape, material, engine power source, weapons and play online against each other in a huge water environment with the most real water ever in a game that affects every move and other opponents can disturb the water in ways to make it harder for you to sink their ship. That would have been better than this game called Hydrophobia.

My god! You guys are the most negative bunch of nay sayers I've ever come across! Fair Bioshock may look better but for those of you in the back row, it's a FINISHED GAME!!! Besides the water in Bioshock looks nice, but it doesn't really effect the game in any other way! From what i understand the water in hydrophobia will actually affect the gameplay which sounds pretty ace. I can't wait for it - i just hope their water can realistically model me wetting my pants!
