Rock Band: new downloadable content featuring Weezer, Garbage, Stone Temple Pilots - Image 1

Heads, up rockers! Weezer, Garbage, and Stone Temple Pilots are coming to Rock Band (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) in the next downloadable content update. We can expect the following songs to appear on XBL and PSN later this week:
  • El Scorcho - Weezer (160 MS points/ $2)
  • Why Do You Love Me - Garbage (160 MS Points / $2)
  • Sex Type Thing - Stone Temple Pilots (160 MS points/ $2)
A hacked list of future downloadable content was revealed a few days ago, which included these three songs. The list was supposedly hacked straight from the game's back end. The list may end up proving to be accurate.

Here's hoping the Still Alive song at the bottom of the list proves to be the one from Jonathan Coulton. Check back for updates.

I know on this site this may illicit a swarm of racist comments, but I'm going to try anyway:
I know this is "rock" band but what about some Hip-Hop. I mean you can have some songs from The Roots, they are a band after all. They have a drummer, bassist etc. I probably still wouldn't buy it, but I might start caring about this game. But as of now the music sucks (to me at least). It would be like having a GTA with just Hip-Hop radio stations, I can say that's not the best idea.

That would make a really lousy video game.

Three more crappy songs to look forward too.
The band is called Garbage for a reason.

I wanted to see why the writers at QJ were so obsessed about the song Still Alive at the end of Portal.

If it's that song. FU** THEM, I wouldn't download that song if it were free... That song's more annoying than the Honest Bob and the Factory-to-Dealer Incentives song... However, if it's the song by Pearl Jam, it'll be a must, I love that song.
